Acharya Sri Mahashramanji on ‘Ahimsa Yatra’ arrives in city

The 11th Acharya of Terapanth Samaj, Sri Mahashramanji (third from left), who is undertaking a Tri-Nation Ahimsa Yatra since 2014, arrived in city this morning.

The Acharya, who arrived from T. Shettalli on foot, was given a rousing welcome by Jain community members at the Ring Road junction on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway from where he proceeded to JSS Medical College in Bannimantap and delivered discourses.

Tomorrow (Nov.20), the Acharya will commence the Ahimsa Yatra from JSS Medical College at 6.45 am and will proceed to Adishwar Vatika in Siddarthanagar where he will deliver discourse at 10 am. An Ahmisa Rally, organised by Sri Jain Shwethambar Terapanth Samaj, will be taken out from St. Philomena’s Church Circle to Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple, Palace North Gate, at 7.30 am tomorrow. On Nov.21, the Ahimsa Yatra will begin from Terapanth Bhavan on M.G. Road and reach Brahma Kumaris in Yelwal.
