Mysore/Mysuru: Himalaya Foundation will present ‘Acharya Sri Vidyaranya Award’ to achievers from various fields as part of Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations to be held at Kannada Bhavana in the premises of District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Vijayanagar, here on Nov. 14 at 4.30 pm.

Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji of Avadhoota Datta Peetham will  grace the occasion. District Minister S.T. Somashekar will inaugurate the programme.  Senior  littérateur Dr. C.P. Krishna Kumar (CPK) will offer floral tribute to the portrait of Acharya Vidyaranya. Former President of District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Maddikere Gopal will be preside. MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev and Social Worker Dr. K. Raghuram Vajpayee will release a special issue and a handbook respectively.

Suyog Hospital Chairman Dr. S.P. Yoganna,  Social Worker Dr. A. Pushpa Iyengar, Congress Youth leader N.M. Naveen Kumar, Dasti Educational Institutions Chairman Dr. D. Thimmaiah, Jeevadhara Blood Bank Director S.E. Girish and Social Worker M.R. Rahul will be the chief guests.

The  awards  will be presented to Sri Somashekar Swamiji (Spiritual), M.S. Revanna (Social Service), Dr. Vasanth Kumar Thimakapura (Agriculture Science), Dr. Y.D. Rajanna (Literary), Dr. A.R.
