Acquaintance-turned-thief snatches girl’s gold chain

Mysuru:  A college girl lost her gold chain and the bag containing a laptop and mobile phone, when a person known to her allegedly snatched them on Nov. 25.

The victim has been identified as N. Kavya, a resident of Vijayashreepura. The incident occurred when Kavya was returning home from college at about 1.30 pm, when one Subramanya, a person known to her met her and began to ask her well-being.

He then snatched the 15 gram gold chain and also the bag containing a laptop and a mobile phone before fleeing from the spot. Kavya then informed the matter to her parents who then lodged a complaint at Jayalakshmipuram Police Station.

Jayalakshmipuram Police, who have registered a case, have launched a hunt to nab Subramanya.
