Actress Malavika wants to contest from K.R. Constituency

Mysuru: Actress and BJP Spokesperson Malavika Avinash, who has been appointed as Head of media in Karnataka, has announced that she too was an aspirant for the BJP ticket from K.R. Constituency in the city.

Malavika, who was in city on Tuesday to oversee the setting up of the party’s regional media centre for the forthcoming Assembly polls, replied in the affirmative when asked whether she was an aspirant of the party ticket to contest form K.R. Constituency.

She, however, said that her candidature will he decided by the State leaders and will respect any decision the party takes.

Presently, her responsibility is to strengthen the party   like any other BJP worker, she added.

Malavika’s public admission of her aspiration to contest from K.R. Constituency, comes at a time when former Minister S.A. Ramdas and H.V. Rajeev are seriously contending with each other for the party ticket.
