Mysuru: With the world famous Dasara festival just over a month away, ADGP (Law and Order) Amar Kumar Pandey will hold a meeting with top Police officers of the city at the City Police Commissioner’s office here on Aug. 27 to discuss security during the grand Dasara event.
During the meeting, the ADGP will chalk out the security strategies that have to be adopted during Dasara in the wake of Central Intelligence Agencies warning of possible terror strike.
Amar Kumar Pandey will discuss in detail other security issues concerning the Dasara procession route, Palace premises, Bannimantap Torchlight Parade ground, Chamundi Hill and other key and vantage spots.
Meanwhile, the City Police headed by Police Commissioner K.T. Balakrishna have drawn up preliminary plans regarding the security arrangements to be made for Dasara.
During the meeting, the City Police will submit a proposal seeking assignment of Police personnel from other districts for the ten-day Dasara event, it is learnt.
