Afghan student killed in accident

Mysuru: A student from Afghanistan was killed on-the-spot and another grievously injured when the bike in which they were travelling hit the arch near the DC’s office last night.

The unfortunate victim is Abdul Salim (23) and the other person who is in a coma is Ziaulla, 22. They are students of Mahajana’s College studying in first and second year BA, it is said.

Both of them were not wearing helmets and driving the motorbike rashly when it lost control and hit against the arch. Abdul suffered head injuries and died on-the-spot. Ziaulla is being treated at a private hospital.

Devaraj Traffic Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
