All businesses to open, says Federation

September 26, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: Trade and businesses in Mysuru will remain open tomorrow despite Bharat Bandh as the Federation of Organisations and Associations has decided not to shut down commercial establishments.

“Just now we have opened and there is still a long way to go for the business community to pick up minimum sales. The Federation is not in favour of a complete closure. However, we will extend outside support to the bandh since farmers are the backbone of the country,” said Federation President B.S. Prashanth in a press release.

“We are always with the farmers, but organisers of Bharat bandh must realise that since the last one-and-a-half years, trade and business have suffered due to COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns and weekend curfews and are yet to recover from it. If shops and trade were closed it will affect the livelihood of people. In view of this, we will continue to function normally and extend outside support,” he added.
