Alleged physical and mental harassment: Woman lodges complaint against husband and family members

Mysuru:  Alleging physical and mental harassment, a woman has lodged a complaint against her husband and his family members at the Women’s Police Station in city.

Kusuma is the woman, who has lodged complaint against her husband Ravishankar and his family members.

In her complaint, Kusuma has stated that she was given in marriage to Ravishankar in 2016 and added that Ravishankar was given Rs. 2 lakh cash, two gold chains weighing 20 grams each, gold finger ring weighing 10 grams, a wrist watch and a suit.

She has further stated that after a few days of marriage, her husband and his family members began to pick up quarrels for silly reasons and used to harass her physically and mentally besides issuing murder threats. Later, they (Ravishankar and his family members) began to pester her for divorce, she added. Kusuma, who has lodged a complaint, has urged the Police to take action.
