Mysuru: The 243rd Annual Sandal Urus-e-Shariff of Fatima Fakhr-un-Nissa Begum, Hazarath Tipu Sultan’s mother, was celebrated on the 7th day of Muharram recently. 

A delegation from Mysuru travelled to this ceremony under the guidance of Afroz Pasha, Secretary of the Hazarath Tipu Sultan Welfare and Urus Committee. 

The event was held at Gumbaz in Srirangapatna, at the Shrine of Fatima Fakhr-un-Nissa Begum under the guidance of  MLA Tanveer Sait, who is also the Chairman of Hazarath Tipu Sultan Wakf Estate Gumbad-e-Shahi, Tipu Tomb, Ganjam. Sandal paste and flower chadar were offered. Special Fateha Khawni and prayers were performed by Syed Sarvare Alam Shah Qadri. 

Moulana Inayat-ur-Rehman, Hazarath Shahi Imam of Gumbad-e-Shahi Tipu, Syed Sarvare Alam Shah Qadri, Syed Aslam Shah Qadri Ustad Dawakhana, Khwaja Musheer Chishti, Majeed Taufiq Khan, Majeed Hidayat Khan, Majeed Inayat Khan and others including women attended.
