Anti-Child Labour Day on June 12

The District Administration, in association with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Zilla Panchayat (ZP), Labour Department, Women and Child Welfare Department, Department of School Education (Pre-University), Police Department, Social Welfare Department, District Anti-Child Labour Planning Society, Child Helpline -1098 and voluntary organisations, will observe Anti-Child Labour Day (officially known as World Day Against Child Labour) at Maharaja’s High School on JLB Road in city at 11 am on June 12.

Earlier, Principal District and Sessions Court Judge Usharani, who is also the DLSA Chairperson, will flag off a children’s’ rally in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North  Gate at 10 am.

The rally will pass through the main thoroughfares in the Central Business District (CBD) before culminating at Maharaja’s High School.

Senior Civil Judge Nagaraj S. Ankasadoddi, who is also DLSA Member-Secretary, will inaugurate the stage programme. DC G. Lakshmikanth Reddy will preside.
