Apathy towards repairing overflowing manhole

June 23, 2025

Sir,

I am writing to draw the attention of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) authorities to repair the overflowing manhole in front of Sri Vasavi Seva Trust, Link Main Road (M.S. Gurupadaswamy Road), Vishweshwaranagar, Mysuru. There has been a continuous overflow of sewage water since December 2024 which is causing nuisance and unhygienic conditions to the nearby residents, school children, commuters and pedestrians using this main road.

Several complaints to MCC over the phone (Mob: 94498- 41195, 94498-41196) and messages in December 2024 and April 2025 have been ignored by the concerned, and no action has been taken so far.

I once again strongly urge the authorities to act immediately to prevent further inconvenience and protect the health and well-being of the tax-paying residents.

– Dr. M.S. Ganesh Prasad, Mysuru, 2.6.2025
