The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) under the ‘Target Olympic Medal’ and ‘Sports Welfare’ programme has invited online applications from eligible athletes and coaches for financial aid and sports awards.

The State Government has decided to refund the fees for athletes who have won medals at the International, National and State-level sports meets held during 2025 and pursuing their PUC, under graduation and post graduation. For sports achievers studying between 6th Std. and 10th Std, the Government will provide special student scholarship.

The Government will also honour achievers with Ekalavya Award and Lifetime Achievement Award for coaches. This apart, Karnataka Kreeda Ratna Award will be given for achievers in rural sports and Karnataka Kreeda Poshaka Award for institutions supporting the development of sports in the State.

Eligible athletes and coaches can submit their applications at https://sevasindhuservices.karnataka.gov.in before July 31 or visit the DYES Office at Chamundi Vihar Stadium or contact Ph: 0821- 2564179, according to a press release from DYES Assistant Director Bhaskar Nayak.
