Appointment to Boards and Corporations after State Budget

Bengaluru: AICC General Secretary and Congress party in-charge  of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal has said that a decision on expansion of the State Cabinet will be taken after the Budget session.

Speaking to press persons after the Coordination Committee meeting here on Sunday, Venugopal maintained that the meeting did not discuss Cabinet expansion. However, a decision in this regard will be taken after the conclusion of the budget session, he clarified.

Announcing that the coalition partners — Congress and JD(S) — have reached an understanding to share appointments to Boards and Corporations in the ratio of 20:10, Venugopal said that former CM Siddharamaiah and Deputy CM Dr. G. Parameshwara will finalise the Congress nominees.
