Aryan Pathange shocks Nikith Reddy in first round

Local lad and unseeded Aryan Pathange, playing a consistent baseline game shocked the fourth seeded Nikith Reddy (Kar) 6-3, 6-2 in the first round of the Men’s Singles event in the Mysuru Open.

Top-seed S.D. Prajwal Dev (Karnataka) scored a easy win over Karnataka’s Rohan Bhatia 6-2, 6-1 and sailed into the second round.

Jatin Dahiya (Del), Yash Yadhav, P. Nikshep, Rishi Reddy (all from Karnataka) seeded second, third, fifth and sixth, won their respective matches and entered the second round.
