February 20, 2019

Bengaluru: Kampli Congress MLA J.N. Ganesh, who has been accused of assaulting fellow MLA Anand Singh in Eagleton Resort near Bidadi in Ramanagaram district last month, withdrew his petition on Tuesday filed at a Civil Court in Bengaluru seeking anticipatory bail in connection with the case.

Following a complaint by Hospet-Vijayanagar MLA Anand Singh, Bidadi Police had booked Ganesh on charges of assaulting Anand Singh on Jan.21.

After the FIR was lodged, Ganesh went absconding and has remained untraceable so far. Now in a sudden development, Ganesh who had moved a Civil Court at Bengaluru through his lawyer seeking anticipatory bail, withdrew his petition yesterday.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Ganesh’s lawyers are planning to move a fresh plea for anticipatory bail, by making only Bidadi Police as respondents in the case.
