Mysuru: ATME College of Engineering participated in ‘Smart India Hackathan-2018,’ organised by Union HRD Ministry at Guwahati, Assam recently. The initiative is in line with the Government of India, focusing on digital technology.

Six students from Computer Science Engineering (CSE) Department — S. Latha, R. Deepthi, H.R. Tejas, S. Swaroop, N. Manjumallika and M. Anusha — participated in the Hacakathon.

Smart India Hackathon-2018 is a pan India 36 hours non-stop digital programming competition. The participating teams are to simultaneously compete from across 33 centres in India with innovative solutions for the problem statement.

A Hackathon is a gathering, where programmers collaboratively code in an extreme manner over a period of time. It’s a creative way of problem solving. The aim of this initiative is to harness the creativity and technical expertise of young minds studying in technology institutes, according to a press release from C.
