Mysore/Mysuru: An attempt to cut a sandalwood tree in Lions Sevaniketan School  premises at Gokulam has been reported in VV Puram Police limits.

It is said that thieves tried to fell a sandalwood tree at about 1.30 am on May 28. On hearing sounds, the school’s security guard rushed to the spot and the thieves fled on seeing him. The security guard then informed the school administrative board, who reached the school and found the sandalwood tree was cut.

The school authorities immediately lodged a complaint at VV Puram Police Station.
