Mysuru:  The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police have arrested a man on charges of trying to sell an oxygen cylinder in black market for higher price and have seized a medical oxygen filled jumbo cylinder (D Type) from him.

The arrested is 37-year-old Madhukumar of S. Hosakote in Nanjangud taluk. The CCB Police and the officials of the Drugs Controller Department, who conducted a joint operation on May 3, found the accused standing in front of a petrol bunk on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road and Outer Ring Road junction in J.P. Nagar along with the oxygen cylinder. 

On conducting an enquiry the officials did not find any relevant document pertaining to the oxygen cylinder and learnt that he (accused) was trying to sell the oxygen cylinder for a higher price following which the Police arrested him and seized the cylinder. A case has been registered at the jurisdictional Vidyaranyapuram Police Station, according to the press release from the Office of the City Police Commissioner, Mysuru.
