Srirangapatna:  An auto driver on his way to lift goods was waylaid and murdered at K. Shettihalli village in Srirangapatna in the wee hours of today or late last night. He has been identified as 25-year-old Gajendra of Hosakote in Anekal Taluk of Bengaluru.  The crime came to light when passersby noticed the goods auto parked on the road. The side windshield of the vehicle was shattered. When they searched the surroundings, they found a dead body in a marshy land near the road. 

The Police were informed and his identity was established through the drivers licence obtained from the body. The killers had hacked him to death and stab wounds were found on his body, the Police said.
