Mysore/Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysore Centre, had organised a programme at a private hotel in city recently to mark Engineers’ Day and Teachers’ Day celebration.

U.M. Gurushanthappa, State Chairman, BAI Karnataka, was the guest of honour. Prof. K.S. Rangappa, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore (UoM) and Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru, was the chief guest.

On the occasion, ‘Engineer Par Excellence Award’ was presented to M.K. Venkataram, former Technical Advisor to Chief Minister of Karnataka and ‘The Teacher Extraordinaire Award’ was conferred on Dr. G.S. Suresh, retired Dean & Professor, NIE, Mysuru.

S.R. Swamy, former State Chairman, BAI Karnataka, read the scroll of honour and introduced M.K. Venkataram to the audience; V. Srinath, Joint Secretary, BAI Mysore Centre, introduced Dr. G.S. Suresh to the audience and H.S. Deepak, Member, BAI Mysore Centre, read the scroll of honour. 

Also, three new Members — S. Basavegowda, MD, SMPA Constructions Pvt. Ltd., P. Sirnivasa, MD, Nammane Constructions Pvt. Ltd. and L. Suresh, Proprietor, Puneeth Consultants, Civil Engineer & Contractor — were inducted by U.M. Gurushanthappa, BAI State Chairman. They were introduced by K. Subramanya Rao, Membership Committee Chairman. On this occasion, BAI monthly magazine ‘Mysuru Shilpi’ was released by the guest of honour.  

MyBuild 20 Virtual Expo: For the first time, BAI Mysore Centre is conducting ‘The MyBuild 20 Virtual Expo’ which was introduced by MyBuild 2020 Chairman P. Puttaswamy and the teaser was released by the chief guest. A presentation was given by event sponsor — Srinidhi Group, Mysuru. 

Bhoomi Divakar rendered the invocation. BAI Mysore Centre Chairman M. Rathnaraj welcomed the gathering. BAI Mysore Centre Hon. Secretary Nagaraj V. Bairy proposed a vote of thanks. BAI Mysore Centre Members M.V. Vinod Kumar and Udai S. Kumar were the Masters of the Ceremony, according to a press release.
