B.C. Jayamma Memorial Open Chess Tourney

Mysuru lads — L. Vivekananda and V.P. Darshan — tied with 6.5 points from seven rounds, but with a better-tie-break score of 34 to the latter’s 33, Vivekananda clinched the title in the Open section in the B.C. Jayamma Memorial Open Chess Tournament 2019, conducted by Learner’s Chess Club, Gokulam, at a private hotel in city yesterday.

V.P.S. Darshan (6.5 points) and M.P. Ajith (6 points) secured the second and third places respectively.
