B.T. Kavitha is new DCP (Crime & Traffic)

Mysuru: The State Government yesterday appointed Senior Police Officer B.T. Kavitha as the new DCP (Crime & Traffic) of the city. She was serving as SP, State Intelligence at Mysuru.

It may be mentioned here that B.T. Kavitha, who was earlier too appointed as city DCP in September last, was transferred just a day after she took charge.

Kavitha had earlier served as ACP of KR Sub-Division, Mysuru, ACP, Mangaluru Central, Assistant Director, Karnataka Police Academy, Principal of Police Training School, Mysuru, SP, ACB, Mysuru and SP, Intelligence at Bengaluru.

The DCP (Crime & Traffic) post was vacant ever since Dr. Vikram Amathe was transferred in February this year ahead of the Lok Sabha Polls.
