Bad roads and traffic violation

August 14, 2021

Sir,

It is with great concern that I would like to bring to notice of authorities concerned a few serious issues as a citizen of Mysuru.

  1. Jodithenginamara Road in Bannimantap is dangerous for two-wheelers as trucks outrun any other vehicles with rash drivers! The road is regularly dug and closed with mud piles, overflowing manholes etc.

The road that connects to Shivarathreeshwara Nagar and the back gate of JSS College is a blind spot with many fatal accidents in recent times. The roads are filled with rundown sand and parked lorries on both sides of the road making thin two-way road. I request the authorities concerned to solving these issues at the earliest.

  1. The road that connects Premier Studio to Aroma Bakery near the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing is filled with small pits and bumpy roads due to unscientific patchwork. It is difficult to ride in scooters without getting back pain. Many roads in city are filled in this form and cause great damage to us.
  2. Some people have lost sense of road discipline, parking discipline, traffic rules, using indicators, avoiding overtake in narrow roads, honking unnecessarily for a long time with unusual sounds, using high beam flashlights on vehicles.

I request the traffic authorities to do the needful and reduce road accidents, fights and blocks. Hoping for a change.

N. Akshatha, Mysuru, 10.8.2021
