Mysuru: “I have good relationship with the Congress. I have no hatred towards that party but have a ‘Love Affair,’ said Primary and Secondary Education Minister N. Mahesh.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Convention titled ‘Aaneya Nadige Parliament Kadege (Elephant’s walk towards Parliament)’ organised by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) at Bandanthamma Kalamma Kalyana Mantap at Kuvempunagar in city yesterday.
Stating that he had no hatred for the Congress party, Minister Mahesh said that he has good relationship with many leaders of the Congress party and added that he has a love affair with that party.
The statements of N. Mahesh left the BSP workers shocked as he had recently stated that the Congress plant (weed) should be removed, which had led to controversies.
Continuing, Minister Mahesh said that the Coalition Government in the State was sailing smoothly with Ministers of both the parties co-ordinating well, besides stating that there were no differences among anyone.
Alleging that the media was trying to create unnecessary trouble, he called upon party workers not to heed to such trouble but carry on with the good work as this coalition Government was a model Government in the country which would complete its five-year term.
Stating that it has become inevitable to fight against communal disharmony, he said that such issues should not raise its head in the State and added anti-social elements should be kept far from power.
BSP State President Hariram, Dist. President Prabhuswamy, Mysuru Party In-Charge Dinakar, City President Basavaraj and others were present.
