Miscreants drill hole to shop wall, decamp with valuables worth about Rs. 5.5 lakh

Mysuru:  Miscreants, who gained entry into a Banker and Jeweller shop on Tuesday night by drilling a hole to the wall of the shop, have decamped with gold ornaments and silver articles worth about Rs. 5.5 lakh from the shop. The incident took place at Ramdev Bankers and Jewellers at Chikkahalli in the taluk.

The incident came to light when Ramdev, the owner of the shop went to open the shop on Wednesday morning and saw a hole in the wall. On entering the shop, Ramdev found gold jewellery and silver articles kept in the shop stolen.

Nazarbad Police, who rushed to the shop, conducted mahazar and summoned the dog squad and fingerprint experts to the spot besides registering a case.
