Mysore/Mysuru: The invitations and posters of Basava Jayanti celebrations to be held in city on Apr. 19 and 20 were released in the presence of Kuderu Mutt Seer Sri Gurushantha Swamiji, Dandikere Mutt Seer Sri Basavalinga Swamiji and Seers of other Mutts at a function held at Nataraja Kalyana Mantap here yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dandikere Mutt Seer Sri Basavalinga Swamiji and Kuderu Mutt Seer Sri Gurushantha Swamiji called for meaningful celebrations of Basava Jayanti.

Later, Basava Balagagala Okkuta President M. Chandrashekar, giving out details of the two-day celebrations, called upon people participate in large numbers.  Procession Committee Chairman K.V. Mallesh, Mysuru Taluk Publicity Committee Chairman Lohit Doreswamy, Social Media Committee Chairman Daripura D. Chandrashekar, Okkuta General Secretary Ayarahalli P. Virupaksha,  Chief Convenor Devaraju P. Chikkahalli, Treasurer G. Marahalli Jayashankar and others were present.
