Mysore/Mysuru: Noted Chutuku (Limerick) writer Dr. M.G.R. Urs and Ganayogi Kala Trust President Dr. H.N. Lokeshappa have been selected for the prestigious Basavashri Award given by the city-based Sri Shivarathreeshwara Mahila Samaja, in recognition of their services to the society.

The two achievers will be conferred the award during the 110th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Swamiji to be held at Mantra Maharshi Sabha Bhavan in JSS Women’s College premises, Saraswathipuram at 5 pm on Nov. 18. Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.
