Bear carcass found

Mysore/Mysuru: The Forest Department staff, who were on their regular beat, have found a carcass of a female bear near Chamahalli of Veeranahosahalli Range in Nagarahole Reserve Forest yesterday.

The dead bear was aged about five years and the staff immediately informed their higher officials, who rushed to the spot along with Veterinarian Dr. Mujeeb Rahman, who conducted the post-mortem. The carcass was burnt later.

Veeranahosahalli RFO Naman Narayan Nayak, DRFO Chandresh, Dwarkanath, Vijay and others were present.
