Beauticians appeal for reduction in building rentals

June 7, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: With the deadly COVID causing havoc across the globe, the Mysore Beauticians Welfare Association has appealed owners/landlords who have rented their premises to beauty parlours, to announce concession in rent payment and extended time to pay it.

In a press release, Association President K. Vedavathi N. Rai said beauty parlours are going through a tough period due to loss of business and income ever since the COVID pandemic broke out last year. The loss of income for months together has made it extremely difficult for parlour owners to pay rent. As such, the owners of buildings who have rented out their premises for parlours should give some relief by reducing rent and also extend the time to pay it, at least until business returns to normalcy, she urged.
