BEML Employees Association to stage protest in New Delhi on Aug. 9 & 10

Mysuru: Strongly opposing the Government’s move to privatise public sector giant BEML (Bharath Earth Movers Ltd.,) the BEML Employees Association will stage a two-day demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Aug.9 and 10 to draw the attention of the Union Government.

Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here this morning, Association President N.K. Devadas said that the Association, after staging protests for over nine months, has decided to intensify the agitation and the Delhi demonstration is aimed at pressing the Government to stop privatisation moves.

He further said that the Association will stage a night-long demonstration at Town Hall in Mysuru from Aug. 14 at 6 pm to 6 am (Aug.15) to register protest against disinvestment moves of the Centre. Association office-bearers H.A. Nagashayana, Chand Singh, Govind Reddy and Shivappa were present.
