BEML employees launch protest

Mysuru: Strongly opposing the Union Government’s move to privatise the public sector Bharath Earth Movers Limited (BEML), the employees of BEML began a three-day protest on front of BEML in Koorgalli here yesterday.

Accusing the Centre of attempts to disinvest the giant public sector, the employees denounced the Centre’s move to privatise it and warned of intensifying the protest till the Centre drops its privatisation plans.

BEML Employees Association office-bearers L.K. Devadas, H.V. Nagendra, H.C. Shivappa and others took part in the protest.
