Bhagavad Gita recitation contest winners

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Gita Jayanti Day celebrations, Bhagavad Gita recitation contest for High School children was held at Ganabharathi auditorium in city recently. The event was sponsored and conducted M.S. Radha and retired LIC Divisional Manager, Mysuru, M.R. Sheshadri couple.

Children from various Schools actively participated in the competition where they were only asked to recite selected chapters of Bhagavad Gita. Judges for the programme were Dr. Karanam Nagarajarao, Bengaluru and A.V. Kalavathi, Mysuru. The winners were awarded cash prizes.

They are: 1st prize (Rs. 3,000) – Aadya Murthy of Acharya Vidya Kula, Mysuru;  2nd prize (Rs. 2,000) – Sheeda Bhat of Amrita Vidyalaya, Mysuru; 3rd prize (Rs.1,000) – C.R. Turish of Amrita Vidyalaya, Mysuru.
