Bhaskar Kalale takes over as CII Mysuru Chairman Amit Kumar is Vice-Chairman

Mysuru:  Bhaskar Kalale, President and General Manager – India Operations, Theorem India Pvt Ltd., took over as Chairman of the Confederation  Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru Zone, for 2019-20 while Amit Kumar, Business Unit Head – Metering & Protection Systems, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Limited, has been elected as Vice-Chairman.

Profile: Bhaskar Kalale, who earlier held the post of Vice-Chairman, is an IT and ITeS professional with 25 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he is the President and General Manager of India Operations for Theorem Inc, a New Jersey-based company that provides digital marketing solution and services to over 150 clients worldwide. Theorem India employs 1,000 people in its Mysore campus and another 200 people in Bangalore.

He is a frequent speaker at colleges and events, particularly on skilling youth, industry-academia collaboration and on entrepreneurship and leadership.  He has a BE in Industrial Engineering from Bangalore University, MS in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, Chicago and an MBA from Anderson School of Management, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

Amit Kumar is the head of Mysuru-based Metering and Protection System (MPS), a business unit of L&T Electrical & Automation. Before joining L&T, Amit Kumar worked as General Manager – Standard Products for Tata Power Solar Systems Limited. He has played a significant role in the growth of L&T Metering business in  recent years.

He is an Electrical Engineer and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management. Amit Kumar  has delivered lectures on renewable energy in more than 12 countries.
