Bike-borne miscreant snatches mobile phone from girl

Mysuru: An incident of a bike-borne miscreant snatching the mobile phone of a girl has been reported from Vijayanagar 1st Stage in city last evening.

The girl, who lost her mobile phone, has been identified as Kumari of Kumbarakoppal and the mobile phone is worth about Rs. 15,000.

It is reported that Kumari, who works in a private firm located on the first floor in the building of Raghulal Medicals opposite Sri Yoganarasimhaswamy Temple, was walking towards her home along with her sister Gayatri after finishing the work, when a bike-borne miscreant who came from behind snatched her mobile phone and sped away.

Though passersby went in pursuit of the miscreant, they were not able to catch him.

Vijayanagar Police, who rushed to the spot on receiving information, conducted mahazar besides registering a case.
