Bike rally to celebrate Yuva Dasara, Yuva Sambhrama held

Mysore/Mysuru: A bike rally to celebrate Yuva Dasara and Yuva Sambhrama was held in city this morning.

The rally, comprising youths from Mysuru, Bengaluru and Kodagu on Harley Davidson and other super-bikes was flagged off atop Chamundi Hill by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. K.V. Rajendra in the presence of former MLA M.K. Somashekar, Dr. Shusrutha Gowda and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shusrutha said “Community harmony and tradition were important in present times. Our culture, art and music are represented at Dasara in a grand manner. But due to drought-like situation prevailing in the State because of less rains, Dasara is being celebrated traditionally and in a simple manner this year and let us pray for good rains in the coming days.”

The bikers, who traversed on various city roads culminated the rally in front of Mysore Palace.

Businessmen J. Tirumalesh, Karunakar, Girish R. Gowda and others were present.
