Bike rider killed in mishap

Hunsur: A 37- year-old bike rider was killed on the spot, while the pillion rider sustained grievous injuries when the motorcycle they were travelling rammed into a stationary Timber Lorry near Bannikuppe on Mysuru-Hunsur Road late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Ataullah Khan, a resident of Mysuru Block in Hunsur town, while the pillion rider Saibuddin, 34, a resident of Nizam Mohalla, Hunsur, has been admitted to a private Hospital in Mysuru.

Ataullah and Saibuddin were returning to Hunsur from Mysuru, when their Motorcycle (KA-13 Q-2958) rammed into a stationary Timber Lorry (KA-03 A-5691) from behind near Bannikuppe Petrol Bunk, killing Ataullah and injuring Saibuddin. Bilikere Police have registered a case.
