Bike rider killed in motorcycle-tanker collision

Mysuru: A bike rider was killed when the motorcycle he was riding was knocked down by a milk tanker near Saraswathipuram Fire Station yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as S.K. Ramanandaswamy (55), a resident of Subashnagar in city.

Ramanandaswamy was travelling on his motorcycle (KA-09 E-7590) from Ekalavya Circle towards Saraswathipuram Fire Station, when a speeding milk tanker (KA-09 8740) coming from behind knocked down the motorcycle.

Ramanandaswamy, who fell down, was run over by the tanker. He breathed his last even before he was shifted to the hospital. K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
