Bike rider killed in self-accident

Mysore/Mysuru: A 40-year-old bike rider was killed on the spot when the motorcycle he was riding skidded near Lingadevara Koppalu on Mysuru-Hunsur Road last evening. 

The deceased has been identified as Raju (40), son of late Siddegowda and a resident of Huyilalu in Mysuru taluk.

Raju, who was a garment worker, was returning home travelling on Mysuru-Hunsur Road at about 5.45 pm after finishing work yesterday, when a woman suddenly appeared on the road near Lingadevara Koppalu. Raju, in a bid to avoid hitting the woman, applied the brakes suddenly, when the vehicle  reportedly skidded. Raju, who sustained severe injuries due to the impact of the fall, died on the spot, it is learnt.

The jurisdictional V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
