BJP announces party candidates for Oct. 28 Legislative Council polls

Bengaluru: Taking a lead over Opposition parties for the Legislative Council polls for four seats, the ruling BJP on Saturday announced the list of party candidates for all the four seats — South-East Graduate, West Graduates, North-East Teachers and Bengaluru Teacher Constituencies, that go to the polls on Oct. 28.

The party announced the candidature of Chidananda M. Gowda (South-East Graduates constituency), V.S. Sankanur (West Graduates Constituency), Shashil G. Namoshi (North East Teachers Constituency) and Puttanna (Bengaluru Teachers Constituency).

Last date to file nominations is Oct. 8. The polling will take place on Oct. 28 and the counting of votes will be taken up on Nov. 2.
