Mysore/Mysuru: BJP workers and leaders celebrated the Party’s Foundation Day at a programme organised at the Party Office in Chamarajapuram here yesterday. Several other programmes were held across the city also marking the occasion.

Senior party leaders — Shanta Somashekar, Gangadhar (Ganganna), Mahadevu (Nalli), Sheshaiah and Hinkal Srinivas and student M.B. Tarun, who interacted with the Prime Minister at the Pareeksha Pe Charcha programme held recently, were felicitated on the occasion.

City BJP President T.S. Srivatsa, Spokesperson Mahesh, leader R. Paramesh and others were present.

In another programme,  party workers took out a procession passing through Shivarampet, Vinoba Road and Santhepet Road, before reaching Nanjaraj Bahadur Choultry on Vinoba Road, where a large screen was installed to telecast live Prime Minister Modi’s address to party functionaries marking BJP Foundation Day.

MLA L. Nagendra, City BJP President T..S. Srivatsa, Corporators Lakshmi Kirangowda, K.J. Ramesh and Jagadeesh, MLC B.Muniraj Gowda and a host of local party leaders were present.
