BJP Janaakrosha Yatra reaches Mandya

April 9, 2025

Mandya: State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra launched a scathing attack on the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah-led Congress Government, accusing the latter of indulging in appeasement of Muslims, completely neglecting the welfare of backward classes,  dalits and also the Hindus, who voted for them.

He was addressing the party workers during Janaakrosha Yatra, organised in front of Sir M. Visvesvaraya’s statue in the town yesterday.

Vijayendra said, 20 months have elapsed since the Congress party came to power and the prices of at least over 50 commodities have gone up in a short span of time. Siddaramaiah, who points at the Central Government for the hike in petrol price, is now facing the ire of the public for increasing the prices of essential items.

“After ascending the seat of power on back of false promises made to the people, the party has failed to meet the people’s expectations. They have also lost the faith of the poor, dalits and backward classes,” said Vijayendra.

More funds has been allocated to encourage Muslim students to pursue higher education abroad and the same community contractors have been provided 4 percent reservation in awarding contracts. What about the contractors belonging to Hindu community? The Congress has been insulting the Hindus in the name of minority appeasement, rued Vijayendra.

Vijayendra held the State Government responsible for the suicide of BJP worker Vinay Somaiah in Bengaluru recently, by filing a FIR against him and subjecting him to mental harassment for a message posted on a social media network about the development related issues of Kodagu.
