Preliminary meeting of K.R. Constituency BJP workers held
Mysuru: BJP’s Parivarthana Yatra, led by former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, will reach Mysuru on Jan.25, during which a public rally has been organised at the Maharaja’s College Grounds here.
A preliminary meeting of K.R. Constituency BJP workers was held here yesterday at the Vidyashankara Kalyana Mantap in Fort Mohalla to discussion on preparations ahead of rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Mysuru City BJP Election in-Charge M.V. Ravishankar said that the Yeddyurappa-headed Yatra, which began in Bengaluru, had already conducted successful rallies across 175 Assembly segments across the State and added that the rally in Mysuru would highlight the failures of the current Congress Government apart from creating awareness on the deterioration of law and order in the State.
Stating each worker had to work hard to ensure BJP regains power in the State, Ravishankar said that if the party had to grow in the neighbouring States it was important to reign supreme in Karnataka. BJP City President Dr. B.H. Manjunath, who spoke on the occasion, called upon the BJP workers to ‘war mode’ as directed by the BJP National President Amit Shah.
“K.R. Constituency is the only Assembly segment which had registered highest number of people as the party members and it is natural to have more expectation from this constituency,” he added.
Dr. Manjunath also said that party State President B.S. Yeddyurappa would arrive in Mysuru on Jan.21 to take part in the rally to be held at Chamarajanagar during which he will hold meetings to discuss on the party’s strategies for the upcoming Assembly polls.
He also asked party activists to work towards getting more than 20,000 people from K.R. Constituency for the Parivartana Rally.
Former Minister S.A. Ramdas, former Corporator Vidya Urs, BJP Corporators and others were present.
