Boy killed as wall collapses

H.D. Kote: A seven-year-old boy was killed, when a mud wall, which had weakened due to continuous rains, collapsed on him this morning.

The deceased boy has been identified as Sandesh Gowda, son of Kumaraswamy and Rekha couple and a resident of Kodaseege village in the taluk. Sandesh was a second standard student at the Government School here.

Sandesh had been to his Uncle Komari Gowda’s house and was about to return to his house when the mud wall collapsed, killing him on the spot.

Tahsildar Nanjundaiah, Circle Inspector Harish, SI Ashok and staff inspected the spot and shifted the body to H.D. Kote General Hospital for post-mortem.

The body was handed over to the family members later.
