Babbur Kamme Sangha presents Pratibha Puraskar to meritorious Brahmin community students
Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City and District Brahmins Association President D.T. Prakash said that the Brahmin community condemns the recent statement of Opposition leader and former Chief Minister Siddharamaiah, who while targeting the Brahmin community, had reportedly demanded withdrawal of the 10 percent reservation for economically weak upper caste communities announced by the Centre.
He was speaking at the ‘Pratibhotsava’ programme organised by Babbur Kamme Sangha for presenting Pratibha Puraskar to meritorious Brahmin community students who had scored high marks in SSLC, at the Sangha premises located on Sahukar Channaiah Road in Saraswathipuram here on Saturday.
Maintaining that no Government in the past came forward for announcing reservation for Brahmins, Prakash said that Prime Minister Modi announced 10 percent reservation for the economically backward among upper castes.
