Brindavan Gardens to be developed like Disneyland: CM H.D. Kumaraswamy

July 5, 2018

Bengaluru:  Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has announced in his budget that the Brindavan Gardens at KRS in Mandya will be developed on the lines of Disneyland in the US. World’s leading entertainment park engineers and investors will be invited to beautify KRS. An initial fund of Rs. 5 crore will be allotted for this project, the CM said.

Mysuru will get an IC (Integrated Circuit) Chip manufacturing company that will produce chips that are used in mobile phones. “At present Taiwan is a world leader in IC Chip manufacturing and we want to set up the manufacturing unit in Mysuru so that we too can contribute to the world’s most advanced information technology,” Kumaraswamy said.

Three frozen semen distribution centres in Mysuru, Dharwad and Kalaburagi will be established at a cost of Rs. 2.25 crore and Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences will be upgraded to an 800-bed hospital at Rs. 30 cr.

Mysuru will also get silk cocoon marketing units and Rs. 3 crore has been allotted for the purpose.

The CM has made special allocation for the development of Gaganachukki and Bharachukki in Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts and Rs. 5 crore has been sanctioned.

The CM also announced Rs. 50 crore special package for the all-round development of Mandya city.

The government has decided to implement Mekedatu Drinking Water Project and an action plan will be prepared soon, Kumaraswamy said. Once operational, the project will be an additional facility to supply Cauvery water to Ramanagaram and Bengaluru, he said.

  1. Wow! CM Kumara Swamy wants to develop KRS like Disney Land! If my memory serves me right, the then CM S M Krishna declared that he will turn Bengaluru into Singapore of India! We all know what happened – Bangalore is a mess. KRS will be worse than it is now because the money allocated will be swallowed by netas.

Why is it that these politicians cannot keep their mouth shut instead of announcing grandiose schemes which will unlikely to be implemented?

  2. Kaleem says:

Mr CM sir please nice planfor KRS but will the work b done in full faith or the money will just spend for anything…..let us see thank u
