K.R. Pet: The K.R. Pet Police have cracked the murder of an Advocate at Nagaraghatta in the taluk, with the arrest of his brother.

The arrested has been identified as Umesh, 36, younger brother of Advocate Satish, who was found brutally hacked to death at his home in Nagaraghatta on Monday last.

Umesh, after allegedly assaulting his brother Satish and strangulating him to death on the night on Mar.25, had complained to the Police that four unidentified persons had hacked Satish to death over a financial dispute.

But the Police getting suspicious about Umesh’s version, began investigation, when they found blood stained wooden log hidden under a haystack pile.

The Police took Umesh into custody and interrogated him, when he spilled the beans on how he murdered his brother Satish.

Umesh is also said to have told the Police that he committed the crime as Satish used to frequently taunt him over his failure to get married even after 36 years of age. The investigation was carried out by K.R. Pet CPI K.N. Sudhakar and staff Prakash, Raghu and Guru.
