April 4, 2017

Four arrested; To be produced before Magistrate today

An incident of a fight which began for petty reasons, ending up with brothers being stabbed has been reported in front of Karanji Lake, coming under Nazarbad Police limits, on Sunday. The brothers who were stabbed, have been identified as Pradeep and Sandeep, residents of Nazarbad, who are into sugarcane juice business near the Karanji Lake gate and have been admitted to a private hospital in city.

It is reported that one Chandrappa, who is also running the sugarcane juice business next to the juice cart of Pradeep and Sandeep, picked up a quarrel with one Ajay, who is working with the brothers over a petty issue on Apr. 1, following which, Pradeep had lodged a complaint at Nazarbad Police Station.

However, the problem was resolved after Chandrappa and Pradeep compromised.

But on Sunday, Chandrappa, who came along with seven others in a bike and an autorickshaw, abused the brothers for giving complaint against him and all of a sudden held Pradeep tightly, while one Sunny stabbed Pradeep on the chest, one Abhi also stabbed him. Gende Manja, who had also come with Chandrappa along with Sunny and Abhi, took out a machete and assaulted both the brothers.

The miscreants fled from the spot, when Pradeep began to scream loudly. He later lodged a complaint at Nazarbad Police Station in this regard.

Meanwhile, Nazarbad Inspector G. Shekar, speaking to SOM this morning, said that four persons have been nabbed in this case and added that the accused will be produced before the Magistrate today.
