Buddhageetha contest

City’s Tanumana Samsthe will be conducting a State-level Buddhageetha recitation contest for youths aged between 14 and 25 years at 11 am on Apr. 30 at Vishwamaitri Buddhavihar, near Ballal Circle (Ashoka Circle) in city. Entry fee is Rs.100. There will be three prizes, with the first prize being Rs. 3,000, second prize – Rs.2,000 and Third prize – Rs. 1,000. For details, contact Mob: 99013-13740. Also, as part of Buddha Purnima, the Samsthe has invited poems on Buddha from young poets. Each poem should not exceed 16 lines. The entries must be sent through Whatsapp No. 99013-13740, before Apr. 30. The best poems will be presented during the Buddha Purnima Day celebration to take place at Vishwamaitri Buddha Vihar on May 5, according to a press release.
