Building violations at Dattagalli 3rd Stage

November 9, 2020

Sir,

Dattagalli 3rd Stage is a new area booming with construction. They are both residential and commercial.

Many of these commercial buildings are coming bang amidst the residential area as these sites face the main road.

Majority of these commercial buildings have no parking facilities. They include choultries too. On days of weddings the area is rammed with vehicles most of them haphazardly and we the residents have difficulty reaching our homes as they block our entrances.

Now vertical buildings too are built, again without parking, no fire exits. What happens when fire erupts? And what about parking?? This is happening all over Dattagalli.

Many buildings that have basement use it for other purposes than parking. Why is the Corporation authorities mum on this issue?

I have been writing to them regularly and also to the Commissioner too.  The local Corporation officials do nothing  and the higher-ups don’t seem to care either.

We the honest tax-paying citizens suffer as they make big money troubling us and the officials also play into their hands by turning a blind eye.

Everytime I complain to MCC authorities, it is the same answer “we will serve notice.” Now despite all this, these buildings have completed structures, ready to rent out.

Now who must be held accountable for these misdeeds? Will the MCC Commissioner clarify?
