Burglar arrested: Articles worth Rs.4 lakh recovered

Mysuru:  The CCB Police, who arrested a burglar, have recovered stolen articles, including gold jewellery, totally worth Rs.4 lakh from him.

K.C. Ashok, 30, of Naladi village, Kakkabbe Post in Madikeri taluk of Kodagu district, is the one who is arrested.

Acting on a tip off, the CCB sleuths picked up Ashok when he was moving about in a suspicious manner carrying a bag near Muthoot Fincorp in Surya Bakery Main Road in Vijayanagar Second Stage on Sept.12.

During interrogation, he confessed to have committed burglary at Kannangala, Gokla Siddapura and Kadanga Maroor villages in Virajpet taluk, following which 90 gms of gold jewellery, a gun, a Peecha Katti, silver articles and brass idols, totally worth Rs.4 lakh, were recovered from him.
